Research
I'm interested in exploring ways to protect people and values at risk from unwanted fire. Today more than one-third of American households are located in the wildland-urban interface (WUI), the volatile area in which undeveloped vegetation mingles with homes. As more and more people move into WUI areas, we need to develop better ways to more effectively incorporate all stakeholders who live and work in WUI areas in wildfire risk abatement.
